Goodbye 4th Graders!
Dear New 4th Graders,
I already miss all of you very much! I had to hold back tears as you hugged me and I walked you down the hall and out the doors for the last time. All of you have a very special place in my heart. I cannot tell you just how much fun I had with you this year! I loved your enthusiasm for learning and trying new things. All of you tried your hardest all year long. I know some of you were wary of my expectations in the beginning of the year, but look at you! All of you met and exceeded my expectations. You are responsible students who are ready to succeed in 4th grade. I am incredibly proud of you. Please stop in and say hello when you can. I know you will be busy, but don't forget to give me a hug every now and again. Have a fabulous summer. BAZINGA!
Love,
Mrs. Moorehead
Welcome to 3rd Grade!
Dear New 3rd Graders,
I know you read just how much I loved my former 3rd graders. I can't wait to learn what I love about you too. I want you to have a fantastic summer. I will enjoy having some freedom too. I plan on running a lot. I am preparing for a half marathon on August 1st. I am very nervous about that, but if I follow a plan from the experts, I will be ready.
I know you will be ready for 3rd grade too. Mrs. Grzanich told me . I am going to use my free time to read some of the books I have been dying to read. I read for pleasure, like you are expected to do during the school year. But, that is not enough time to read ALL that I want to read. I hope you read a good book and send me a postcard. Look for it in your report card envelope. I love getting mail! Don't you? If you give me your address, I will write back to you too.
Even though I am excited for Summer Break, I am still excited about my plans for you in August. I have a fantastic surprise that I know you'll just love (hint: visitors). Mrs. Grzanich had a frog theme last year. I am also planning on a "race car" theme in our classroom.
Have a great summer and don't forget to read every now and then!
Love,
Mrs. Moorehead
